The best sports bra’s around? Read on…
August 4, 2016
Right. So I’ve been asked by some readers to share my best in sports bra’s. Believe me, I’ve tried them all. Keeping the puppies secure is high on the priority list for any woman when she’s active, no matter what activity she takes part in. In my case, it’s fast paced cardio, circuit training/weights and kickboxing. Having been lucky enough to stand somewhere around the front of the queue when boobs were handed out, wearing the correct sports bra’s are hugely important. Not only can the wrong bra’s cause serious stretch mark damage to skin if you’re not secure, but the pain involved in muscles being stretched incorrectly as well as the back problems you can develop is enough to put any woman of being active forever.
I was lucky enough to receive three of the very best sports bra’s on the market today. SHOCK ABSORBER is a bra brand known by all serious sports women and if you wear them you know you are in good hands. Cups. Whatever. You know what I mean. Seen in the featured image above is my favorite of the three. It’s called the HIGH IMPACT SPACER BRA. I like wearing this red and black one when I go kickboxing. Since I’m punching a hard and heavy bag the impact traveling up your arm causes some intense shock to your chest area. This bra makes sure high impact is sufficiently dealt with and the girls are secure enough, guaranteed.
The next bra (below) is known as the X-TREME RUN BRA. I found it to be the most popular under fellow sportswomen. Probably because all of them run. Let me state for the record I vehemently hate running with an intense passion. Mainly because of the discomfort you feel in your chest area while doing so. Since that matter is sorted with this bra, I’ve recently started running to test it and I kid you not, your boobs ain’t going no where anytime soon. I like wearing this silver and black bra when I’m doing high impact cardio because honestly, the last thing you want to worry about when you are chasing the clock is a pain in your chest area because you’re not secure.
The last one I tried out (see below) is the POWER WORKOUT MOULDED PADDED BRA. My one came in pink and grey and as mentioned it has moulded cups. The cups keep boobs from going all over the place when I do weight training or do the circuit. All three bra’s have racer backs, not the normal vertical straps a normal day bra would have. They also have double clasp systems, down below on the horizontal strap as well as higher up in the middle of the back where the straps meet, for extra security.
You can expect to pay anything from around R300 to R700 for these bra’s, depending on which one you decide on. To see and try them try Sportsmans Warehouse or Zando or selected sport shops around the country. I know it seems that some of them are quite pricey but trust me, it’s an investment. The medical bills you’ll have to pay for back problems and skin tightening treatments due to stretching and not being secure when you’re active isn’t worth it. After all, the only thing allowed to bounce is the ball!
