Armani returns with the reinvention of an old classic
June 24, 2015
The master really does know how to captivate his audiences and fans across the globe. Reinventing an old classic GIORGIO ARMANI breathes a different kind of life into his latest men’s fragrance, ACQUA DI GIO PROFUMO. Contrasting volcanic rock with the azure freshness of oceanic essences, this fragrance finds harmony in juxta posed elements. I found it to be deep and elegant with an airy feel. Top notes of aquatic essence and bergamot start this off as a bursting fresh fragrance. Heart notes of geranium, sage and rosemary give it a spicy aura that settles in base notes of incense and patchouli. This woody, aromatic and aquatic scent is bottled in a flacon of solid brushed black, representing in my mind volcanic rock, making it that much more masculine, iconic and dark. It comes in three sizes 40ml (R890), 75ml (R1165) and 125ml (R1350) and will be available from July at selected Stuttafords, Foschini, Edgars, Red Square and Woolworths stores.
