When an icon returns
March 16, 2015
Don’t you just love it when something you used to adore using returns to the shelves after being unavailable for some time? I know I often find myself a bit distraught when a favorite product is no longer available if it was a limited edition or manufacturers stop making it. Then big is the elation when I see it in store again! By that time I’ve found something else to substitute it with but believe me the substitute is ‘outtathere’ and dumped like a hotcake the moment I see my old faithful again. Much was the case with the NIVEA ‘Blue Tin’ and it’s return. The amazing cream is still the same with that wonderful enveloping feel and stunning smell, only difference it has returned also available in the fondly referred to ‘little blue tin’ due to popular demand. The cream was developed in 1911 as the first cream that is a blend of water and oil in a stable formula. It was called Nivea, derived from the latin word ‘nivis’ meaning white snow. This iconic cream is suitable for all skin types and protects the skin’s moisture barrier and prevents moisture loss. It is used to calm red and irritated skin, it heals cracked skin, can soothe nappy rash, tames fly-away hair, can be used in massages, cools skin when used as a mask after sun exposure and kept in fridge, great as a primer before applying makeup and is even effective as an eye makeup remover – a perfect all rounder! You just need this little tin with you everywhere you go! The fragrance is subtle and is a blend of rose, lavender, bergamot, lilac, lily of the valley and orange. The formula is preservative free and comes in a 150ml tin for R32,99, 60ml tin for R19,99 and also in a 100ml tube for R24,99.
