Oil Control is easy with these Cetaphil gems!
August 11, 2016
In the return of my #SwearByCetaphil campaign, I’m excited to show you that even though skin can be sensitive, you can still control excess oil on your skin. Personally the more oil I have on my skin, the happier I am but I do know that teens for instance go through a period where excess oil can clog pores and create embarrassing spots due to hormonal changes, etc. Adult acne is also sometimes caused due to excess sebum production and can become an irritation when it comes to wearing makeup, finding the correct skin care products and controlling shine.
With these three oil control products from CETAPHIL sensitive skin is sufficiently looked after and nurtured while oil is still kept at an acceptable level:
- OILY SKIN CLEANSER – This is a really gentle cleansing gel that has a lightweight lotion consistency. Good to use on combination skin too, it is really effective in cleansing pores deeply without clogging them. It is soap free, can safely be used twice a day and develops into a very gentle foam to cleanse and wash away impurities and makeup.
- DERMACONTROL OIL CONTROL FOAM WASH – Designed specifically for oily and acne prone skin, this cleanser has a light foam action that washes away excess oil, keeps shine at bay, removes impurities and makeup with it’s zinc technology – all without stripping the skin. I’ve always been wary of using foaming cleansers because some may strip the skin’s natural moisture and make the pH levels drop, but this foam is so effective, my skin (which is not dry) still loves it.
- DERMACONTROL OILY SKIN MOISTURIZER – Firstly, I LOVE that this moisturizer contains a broad spectrum spf30, so skin is protected from harmful UVA and UVB rays. The lightweight formula does not sit on the skin and absorbs quickly, so guys will like this one too. It makes sure skin is optimally hydrated, so no flakiness, only soft skin all round! It soothes skin redness and the feeling of sensitivity and dryness that are often caused by acne treatment products. The Oleosome technology makes sure lower concentration sunscreen is used but skin is hydrated sufficiently. Micropearl technology absorbs surface oil as it forms, to leave a matte and shine free finish.
I must say that I’ve never had the need for oil control products but I will be the first to say that sometimes during summer a little less shine can go a long way. In a later feature during the campaign I’ll share more on that. In meantime, I #SwearByCetaphil for my current skin care needs – do yourself a favor and look into it, you’ll be so pleasantly surprised by the no-nonsense hugely effective quality of this range.
