New nail collections for the season
September 14, 2015
With the new season we’re entering you will also notice a few iconic new nail collections in store. With spring, we see the launch of new pastels, brights for summer and even a new bridal collection, seeing as though the wedding season has kicked off. I for one am always super excited to see what new shades we can look out for as well as new innovations, so here are my newest picks, I hope you enjoy them as much as I have testing them!
MAVALA JELLY COLLECTION – This new collection from Swiss brand Mavala had me quite excited when I received it. It seems the new trend is tinted top coats and this range is brilliant to play around with. The collection of 6 (seen in the main picture above) differently tinted polishes give you the opportunity to use the different jelly-looking paints to use on their own or you can paint them over plain white nail polish to have the prettiest effect. You can even play around and use them over different solid colors applied to create your own unique looks. Look out for these from this month in Dischem and Woolworths at R72 each.
MORGAN TAYLOR HELLO PRETTY COLLECTION (seen above) – If there is ever a collection that screams summer pool party it’s this one. The colors are vibrant and fun and will look absolutely fantastic with tanned skin. Of course being a great Morgan Taylor fan, the quality is brilliant and last super long on my nails. They retail for R123 each at Morgan Taylor stockists, but I’ve found the biggest choice available at Sorbet salons.
MAVALA GARDEN PARTY COLLECTION (seen above) – ….enter the spring pastels. These shades are just so pretty and feminine and I found my favorites to be Freesia and Iris. They add the perfect soft touch for spring nails. This collection is available from this month for R72 each at Clicks, Dischem and Woolworths.
ESSIE BRIDAL 2015 COLLECTION (seen above) – I love that Essie launched this range especially for our brides this year – even the names of the shades are wedding orientated! The light caramel, soft coral pink and sheer lilac are ultra feminine and add understated elegance to any bridal look. Look out for these at Clicks and Dischem (R119) and I know you’ll also find them on Spree.co.za for R80 each.
