Breathe new life into listless locks
April 7, 2016
Being a bit of a fussy hair product user I’ve always got all guns blazing when trying out new hair products. They really have to impress me because I know how astronomical my hair needs are being chemically treated and taking all the color challenges I keep throwing at it.
Heating things up with brazilian brand INOAR, comes their new launch THERMOLISS which is a game changing defrizz balm. Used on it’s own to defrizz hair or used in a moderate about before blowdrying will transform frizzy hair into soft sleek hair as if magically. It’s completely salt and chemical free, contains vitamin B5 and silk amino acids, this light formula leaves my hair super soft and silky feeling. Frizzy, unruly and curly hair will benefit from this balm brilliantly because it is infused with argan oil which is a great natural defrizzing agent. The tube is absolutely huge at 240ml because you use a tiny amount at a time since the product spreads so easily when hair is damp. It retails for R400 and you will find it online at www.inoar.co.za but I know Sorbet hair salons stock Inoar too.
Used as a great all rounder, the new L’OREAL PROFESSIONAL COLOR 10in1 multipurpose spray is a great addition for color treated hair. The 10 effects are:
- protects color
- adds shine
- adds softness
- ensures consistency of hair fibres
- leaves hair smooth
- helps detangle hair
- makes blowdrying easier
- anti breakage formula
- helps protects against the look of split ends
- helps reduce the look of frizz
I used mine after rinsing off conditioner, as a leave in treatment I sprayed onto my hair and working it through with my fingers. The great thing is you can use it on dry hair too!
In the shampoo and conditioner department GARNIER launched their ULTIMATE BLENDS range very recently. This long awaited range takes hair you’ve got to hair you want with natural extracts in five variations. These are the Sleek Restorer with coconut oil and butter extract (smoothness and frizz control) , Nourishing Repair with Avo oil and Shea butter (nourishing), Strength Restorer with honey extract (damaged hair prone to breakage), the Fresh Revitalizer with 5 botanical extract (cleanses and revitalizes) and the Color Illuminator with argan oil and cranberry extract (nourishes, protects, illuminates color). You can choose between shampoos, conditioners, masks and serums priced from R39,95 to R69,95 and I think the most expensive product in the range is from the coconut range which is an oil spray at R149,95. Absolutely brilliant value for money and suitable for the whole family!
