How I use Cetaphil for a custom made routine this festive season
December 16, 2016
So by this time most of you are probably jetting off on your long awaited end of year summer holidays! When it comes to packing I try to always take only three (max four) skin care products and add an eye cream to save space and effort over the festive season and going away. For this reason I picked my three most versatile CETAPHIL products because to me they all have more than one use. Lets take a look…
CETAPHIL GENTLE SKIN CLEANSING CLOTHS – These are absolutely invaluable to me. Not only do they gently but very effectively cleanse skin (I believe cleansing cloths are good exfoliators too), they keep the pH of the skin perfectly balanced, they are great for sensitive and dry skin, they are great to freshen up during the day, they moisturize without leaving a residue that might clog pores, they are soap and fragrance free, the list goes on and on. Also, they are available in two sizes, perfect for home and traveling.
CETAPHIL DERMACONTROL OIL CONTROL MOISTURIZER – This lightweight fluid is perfect for summer. It offers a spf30 and moisturizes oil prone skin without loading it with a residue. If your skin tends to break out in acne from some moisturizers this is perfect for you. It soothes redness, dryness (caused by some acnes) and controls shine throughout the day. This light broad spectrum formula protects against harmful UVA and UVB rays, moisturizes without clogging and keeps skin looking matte, fresh and perfectly moisturized all day long. If I have to be honest I carry the little pump action bottle with me when I’m out for a day and use it as a hand cream too because it’s not greasy at all!
CETAPHIL DAYLONG SPF30 LIPSOMAL SPRAY FOR FACE AND BODY – This is a brilliant sunscreen if you’re active or don’t want a heavy suncream on your skin. The lightweight formula sprays on easy and offers photostable protection against harmful UVA and UVB and because it comes in spray form it is really easy to spread those hard to reach spots that need sun protection too. I like it that I can use it for face and body, so it saves me from having to pack two products. An added bonus is that the formula protects against infra red damage, so the protection level is very high. It contains aloe vera and vitamin E extract so it also soothes and moisturizes as it goes. It does not clog pores, contains no fragrance, hypoallergenic, great to be used by men and is extremely water resistant. The word ‘liposomal’ in the name basically means that tiny bubbles of the product helps it to spread easier to difficult areas and make sure that the ingredients get to the right places. A GREAT all- rounder. Keep in mind that the word ‘Daylong’ does not mean the sunscreen lasts all day because any sunscreen has to be applied frequently throughout the day to optimally protect against sun damage.
So there you have it. Within the CETAPHIL range there are a great amount of products to choose from if you have sensitive or dry skin. Although I don’t suffer from sensitive or dry skin per se, I still like using from the range since it is just so effective. It suits my needs to the T. I know it’s a reach, but I’d absolutely love it if the range had a mask, serum and eye cream too!
If you’re going away for the holidays and going to be on the road, be safe, look after yourselves and rest well. My wish is for you to come back to work in 2017 all rested and happy with a wonderfully exciting new year to look forward to! Until then, I still #SwearByCetaphil !
