Which cleanser type are you? Cetaphil makes things easy.

To start off a very exciting campaign on the site for me I decided to begin with the most elementary of aspects when it comes to facial care – cleansing. This first step in my regime can make or break my enthusiasm, commitment, motivation and my loyalty to the facial regime I set off to begin. Up to and including December of this year you’ll see me touching on various angles when it comes to the CETAPHIL range, showing you the range, how to use the products and in turn showing you how I #SwearByCetaphil. But for now, back to the basics – cleansing.
Have you ever considered or even tried the various methods there are of cleansing? The saying ‘each to his own’ gets a whole new meaning when you think about personal preferences when it comes to cleaning your face. I’ve heard of people who prefer a wash, bubbles on their face, having something to wipe their faces with or just a gentle massing cleaning action to remove dirt and impurities. Within the Cetaphil range I have now tried the three tipes of cleansing (with one exception, but more about that one in a later feature of the campaign) methods and honestly, I have my favorites, but again, each to his own…
- GENTLE CLEANSING LOTION – lately I’ve been testing a whole bunch of products for upcoming features and as you know skin can get a little irritated with all of that action happening. At the end of the day this super gentle cleansing cream was the only thing that really soothed my skin. It can be used every day, any time and by any skin type of all ages. It is completely fragrance free and is not drying at all. I like that even the sensitive areas like my cheeks and eye area are fine with this light formula that does not make any foam when mixed with water. I’ve even used it to remove my eye makeup with great success. Although I do not wear contact lenses it is said to be completely safe to use for lens wearers. Of course I tested this product inside and out so I’ve come to the conclusion that you can use it with water and rinse off or on it’s own and pad the excess off. Some people won’t like this, but I like that there is a slight moisturizing film left on my skin.
- For those of you who do not like a light film left on your face you’ll love the GENTLE CLEANSING BAR which comes in soap form but can be used by dry and sensitive skin users too. The formula is not soapy but it does make a very light foam when used with water. This can be used on the face and body and is great when you have eczematic areas on your body that gets inflamed when you use normal cleansers/soaps/washes because it moisturizes while it cleanses. It is hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic and is recommended by dermatologists everywhere.
- Now here is the perfect lazy person’s cleanser or for those self diagnosed OCD double-cleansing freaks like me – the GENTLE SKIN CLEANSING CLOTHS. Oh my goodness how can I stop raving about these? The re-sealable pack has 25 disposable cloths in it that cleanses without stripping the skin, makes my skin feel fresh and really clean after using, is pH balance and can be used over the eyes to remove even the most stubborn of mascara and eye makeup. I’ve started carrying these in my handbag and I’ve become a little (OCD, I told you) obsessed with them. They are fragrance free but still have a nice fresh smell.
I’ve been seeing Cetaphil products at all major retail outlets, but to be sure you’re not disappointed when going out looking for something specific, I’d say try Clicks or Dischem because they will definitely stock most or all of the products. Also keep an eye out for my monthly Cetaphil features to follow, I have every confidence by the end of the year I’ll have you admitting that you too #SwearByCetaphil !
